Well i had the best 4th of July of my life i will let the photos and the video show the words :) it started with an awesome show and end with a great fireworks show on 30th on a rooftop you can beat that.
Every so often, art breaks out of its confines to become an event. People who would never normally go to a gallery do so; they feel part of it when they would otherwise feel excluded. The last time this happened was when Olafur Eliasson put a giant sun and a mirrored ceiling in Tate Modern and teenagers rolled around on the ground making shapes they could see reflected in the roof.
And it's happening now at Banksy versus Bristol Museum, the exhibition the elusive graffiti artist suddenly unveiled last week, in which he has his "remixed" the museum's own collection by putting more than 100 of his own artworks among it – by far the largest Banksy show to date, of work mostly never shown in the UK before.
Banksy is the master of the surprising juxtaposition. In another room, full of his animated sculptures, there's what looks like a living, breathing cheetah, but when you see it from the back, you notice, with a chill, that it's been made into a fur coat.
Sorry I'm taking to long to post on here. So yea here is a great website for the latest bands playing in the NY, LA, and SF you can also but the tickets right off the website and are free. I made it out to my first band play last week i was ok not a very great start to the many to come.
I did everything that i normally do in the morning from taking a shower to getting my morning tea on the way to work, once i get to work i go to yahoo.com and check up on the news around me and around the world but today I found this story about a soldier in Afghanistan that had to get up in the middle of the night because the unit he was in was taking fight from the Taliban but the best put was the soldier had no time to get dress for war so he took is M16 and wearing pink boxers and flip flop and a red t-shirt, not the be way to go to war but go's to show that this guy will have your back that all times.
I will start this posting by telling you guys that I will be posting once a week for now on. So its your job to check in here and there.
Now to the main topic of the post
I was working for a company in Soho, NY for about a year and 4 months or so, it was a great place and made really close friends there, now is the time in life that if you see an open door you run for it so i did and feel like it was one of the best things to do right now for me.
I start as a Creative Director/Web Designer at 1800postcards.com I will be working on some really big projects in the upcoming months and i will be showing them off here so look for that.
So after 3 months of designing and planning the new UnderWorld Magazines website is now up and running. Well the launch was May 1st but i had no time to blog about it.
UnderWorld Magazines is a completely independent form of media that focuses on promoting all forms of art. The magazine eagerly focuses on demonstrating different forms of art in the world. Underworld Magazines doesn’t necessarily follow the standards that many other forms of media have choose to follow. This publication takes pride in revealing smaller un-known artists to the world of art. Fashion, music, movies, writing, graphic design, and other forms of artistic outreach is what you will discover by just browsing the stories, and articles featured in Underworld Magazines.
So after a long trip I get home to check my email which i have an account with yahoo.com, Yahoo has a new home page is this because they're trying to step up to the plate to battle with google let see the ending score.
So for the ones that know about my magazine project I been working on a relaunch which started back in 2008 now in May the new UnderWorld Magazines website will be launching with some of the hottest Stories and interviews to date ;p
I was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. After high school I decided to go to college for Web / Graphic Designing. Once i finished there I made my way into Manhattan. It took me up to five years to get an actual full time design job. After five years I've made a name for myself in New York. I'm on top of my game now, having my clients list. MTV, Converse, Evisu, Mcgraw Hill, EA Game, Mitsubishi, Ann Taylor.
